As of right now, it is not yet legal for a retail store like Sears to reopen in Alameda County (which is where Hayward is). I think it becomes legal this Friday, so we'll see.
That's only a recent thing. It's usually open every day.
The Sears store locator claims that Hayward is open only on Saturdays. Any idea why a store would choose to operate that way?
Anyone know if the Hayward, CA location will reopen?
Transformco's current mouthpiece, Larry C., is useless. Anytime he is contacted by a member of the media, he declines comment, even if it's confirmation of a store closing. Why the heck is this guy on the payroll? I'd love to know what he does!
That is a difficult question to answer exactly, since Sears closed all of its stores temporarily in March or early April, then has been gradually reopening many but not all of them.
Before Covid-19, there were 89 open and non-liquidating Sears stores. Since then, Sears appears to have reopened 73 of them, but then announced that 9 of those will permanently close. 11 stores have not yet reopened; it's hard to tell whether each of these will eventually reopen or will instead silently close for good.
Five others are listed with weird hours such as being open only on Saturdays; I don't know if this is accurate or not.
Wondering how many are now open.
What’s your point?
I actually live about 10 minutes away from the Hackensack its the only one left in Bergen County since Paramus Closed on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018. When the town wanted to swap the store for a Stew Leonard's
