Bose builds products that the non empathic leaders think we should make.. and th en they make stupid decisions about the products.
1) Sleep buds were a cool concept, but 6 months kickstarter (or indiegogo) was not enough to find out the battery would stop recharging. The hearing aid industry knew all about z-power's problems. we just didn't care enough to do the work.
2) QC 700's require you to use an app to use the headphones. This was problematic for people who were on airplanes with no wifi and had just purchased them.
3) Have you ever used the sound touch speaker or app? The app s—s so badly, I just set the presets and also use it as bluetooth.

Earbuds is probably too late. There are so many products out there, even Microsoft made the Surface Earbuds.
Don't hang in there. Get out of here, unless you want to wait for severance package.
Earbuds 700 and the few new products in play:
The start of the end of year holiday selling season is less than 6 months away.
In particular, new products must be flowing big time through distribution in 3 months.
Against the many stiff internal and external headwinds in play.
Headwinds are inclusive of excellent technical and price competitive products that keep causing Bose hesitate, change, tweak, and delay products - instead of just letting them go and really learning evolve quickly.
Headwinds are inclusive of who will stay and who will go at Bose - without screwing up the production ramps, distribution, and sales, again.
Is that even a thing
Earbuds 700 hopefully brings some good change
Only If they are willing to change the approach
There are jobs out there, good jobs. Hiring is happening. Many of us can attest to that good reality. Be careful in your present situation, but dammit my friends, be proactive! Get moving it you aren't already! We can only help take care of each other at this point.
My understanding is Sonos may be in talks to be purchased by Apple, not Bose.
Very unlikely. I think it is going to be tough for Bose to ever get back to the place it once was. I’m not even sure what the board would approve but I think for the company to survive in some capacity it will need to be bought out by an apple or google. It is going to take years for Bose to get back on its feet unfortunately. It is very sad to to see. There are great people and good talent at the company but the long term vision, strategy and ability to adapt to a quick and changing industry is not there.
Will it ever get better at Bose? Or Never?
