The first lay-off group back in March hurt CF. All the service desk does now is answer the phone and log it then a few days later close the InC so they can meet their numbers.
Yeah, IT s—s right now. Overworked and under appreciated. The CIO can't pick a direction, the Ziapari stuff is not on track even though they talk about it as if it is, BUT it is also business leaders who can't agree on anything. Complete dysfunction starts from the top. Everything is a priority, so nohting is and why nothing is happening.
I am sure that list of IT folks will be more than a couple once we are post covid. I feel sorry for them - at first glance the original IT layoffs mostly made sense to me (some were the right choices), but the folks remaining some are good and do actually care and want to make things better. Hard to do when your leader is changing direction every five mins. Glad I work in health services and not that hellhole of a division.
A couple people from IT resigned this week is what I heard. Hearing more will be coming because of unhappiness. Not a happy place overall and there is too much stress on employees working longer hours. Things are disorganized. People are staying because of covid19. When economy is better i am sure we will see more. Self-included. Leadership used to care and now more likely they dont.
