Does this exist anymore at Union Pacific? Whens the last time anyone mentioned how they were a 4th generation Railroader and it was actually something to brag about? When did Sub One turn into sub par job performance? Courage to Care? Theres not a courageous employee that works at Union Pacific. When does the bickering and backstabbing end and the quality work begin? This place is destroying itself from the inside out, its a shame it doesnt purge out the ones who make it that way. PSR has cut more quality employees then it has saved. If Vena wants to clean house hes got a long way to go, plenty of waste around still.

Lots of management needs to go that is one position that is a big waste
UP held a diversity call recently and got embarrassed. The leadership team of Casper, Powder, and the Pillsbury Doughboy didn’t have any good answers and kept on trying to read from the script.
The death of George Floyd is a tragedy that’s for sure but now everyone is calling white people racists. There is good people in all races. Not all whites are privileged, not all blacks steal and loot, not all Chinese have the covid 19 and not all cops are bad.
Short answer is no none of those things exist anymore. The part of the long answer is once the glass palace went from management that knew the employees and customers mattered, to the current management of shareholders and profits come first everything else is secondary is when everything changed. You probably won’t hear the I’m a fourth generation or multi generation railroader anymore because this pace has become so toxic the employees don’t want their families working here, hell most employees are looking for other jobs at this point which never happened in the past. Courage to care, pride in the work that was being done, that went out the door when the company started treating the employees like the enemy and like liabilities instead of treating them like equals and valuing them not everyone wants to do this type of job. There are still courageous employees in the company but they don’t speak up because at this point it’s pointless they get ignored. When does the bickering and backstabbing end? honestly it probably won’t end until the company changes the culture they’ve created and promotes a new non toxic culture, and stops promoting those who don’t question things or think for themselves. PSR and the current management implementing it need to go that is the only way any of these things change, there will always be some form of waste at a company this size it’s inevitable but employees and customers shouldn’t be considered waste like they are now.
