Frontier, there is NO FUTURE in old slow dinosaur copper DSL lines. Frontier again and again has shown a reluctance to upgrade the networks they bought. Frontier was more interested in overcharging their customers and POOR customer service.
Frontier was a solid company until we bought all the Verizon garbage and management rejects. VERIZON is known for neglecting their service territories, some of the worst plant I've ever seen. Their only goal now is to force their customers over to wireless. That's why they stopped building out their FIOS 10 years ago. As for the Starlink garbage. Yeah great >100ms lag time and there goes the internet every time a storm rolls through.

Then even more so the the VERIZON management that have no sense of direction totally tanked this place. Rochester is just a drop in the bucket. Compared to the big picture. When Rochester took it over. Where did it come from new management of Citizens, Global Crossing or old Rochester Telephone? Rochester Tel USED to be really cutting edge. Rochester, NY used to be telecom city. Not much anymore. Paetec, ChoiceOne, MPower, and ACC Long Distance now AT&T Local where all spinoffs of Rochester Telephone management. Not bad people to work for back in the day. Boy it sure has changed. Tell us how they ruined it. People read this web site. Perhaps they will listen....
FTR is a taxpayer sham. The FCC should stop all CAFII funding for CTL, WIN, FTR immediately until time executive staffs are pared down as required.
