Did STPLS receive PPP assistance? If they did, wouldn’t that limit their ability to layoff employees?

Enacted as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and fro. What I've read about it, Staples probably didn't qualify...
"Economic Security (CARES) Act, the federal Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) provides forgivable loans to businesses with 500 or fewer employees that have been adversely affected by the coronavirus pandemic."
Meaning they can and will furlough or lay off whomever they choose.
