This thread is a call to former employees who were laid off or quit cause they got tired of the insanity rampant since 2016. Those of us who remain, like me, aren’t sure what to expect post SWN. Tell us your stories. We know there are several thousand of you!

Worked for SWN for 18 years, part of the technical and mgmt. team that took it from $175 million to $15 billion share value in 2010, and as soon as Mueller was hired started divesting my swn stock, smartest move that I have ever made.....As the great institutional investor, Peter Lynch, always said, invest in companies that are stable enough to endure toxic mgmt. because sooner or later you will have it. Mueller and Way have certainly proved that.
Thanks buddy. You did us a solid. Layoffs this week and we’ve been warned to check our 401k. Coolio. Love and peace bruh!
most of the things posted on here are trash but I will add one thing of note from someone who was laid off in February. While transferring my SWN retirement to my new job I noticed the dollar monthly payment or the cash out dollar amount were substantially less then those annual retirement statements I was getting. Also SWN retirement was extremely late on getting me my information and I had to follow up to make sure they were doing what they were suppose to. Not sure what the deal is but watch out for your retirement funds from SWN retirement if still working or laid off.
Directors are supposed to have their “plans” submitted by Tuesday COB. Since Nill Pay said to own it, that’s what they’re trying to do.
Verifiable fact. Next layoffs will happen on a day that ends in “y”. Strong indication is this Wednesday.
Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers. I posted earlier today and my family cannot take much more. Lost an uncle to Covid. Wife’s mom is having to stay with us cause she can’t afford rent. Wife is on furlough. Kids have medical bills. I must have this job and insuramce. Please no layoffs now!! Family is prepared and we will make it if I get laid off this week.
Just got done with online church service. Wife making dinner. These last few posts are so wrong but so funny.
At dinner today, I will be talking with my family about the layoffs I know will happen this week.
There is no such thing as a “ex or former SWNtard”. Once a SWNtard, always a SWNtard.
It's like anything else that may not be any fault of your own, pack your box, don't take things personal and in time you find something else. However any recent layoffs since COVID is new to all of us, it's an employers market so count your blessings and keep your finances and support systems strong.
That a boy! You owned that post!
Ethics are important to me and I could no longer take the “spin” on everything. Also, I was tired of hearing you need to own this when in fact I owned everything and Wrong Way owned nothing.
Got one word for you to describe post SWN life: FLYWHEEL! The greatest company since Google!
Wow. Never thought I’d post here, but this one just tugged at my heart strings. I was actually terminated for cause after the big layoffs in 2016. I was on the fast track to VP and didn’t know what happened. I won’t get into why i got fired, but turns out it was a blessing from above. When I hired at SWN in the Fayetteville Shale, I just knew it would be the career job and my grand kids would be set! I bought all the toys - a bass boat, jet skis, a 4,500 square foot home, everything. Then it all came crashing down cause my manager thought I was a tool. I eventually filed for personal bankruptcy and got my boat and truck repo’d. Life has been a struggle up here in Conway. My wife wouldn’t let me move from here, cause Arkansas is home. Hope to see some of y’all at church!
