I’m surprised no one has been talking about the 1 million dollars ransomware attack. Or the other viruses that have cause so much turmoil throughout the company. GTS is completely disorganized and floundering, the amount of money being wasted on overpriced “security” software and contractors is amazing. No wonder they’re laying people off to pay for it all.

This doesn't surprise me though, they were cutting IT support to the bone before I left. They probably didn't keep up to date on software.
They also had hundreds of ancient EOL machines running on the network. Some running Windows NT 3.5, 4.0 and obsolete versions of HP-UX and RHEL. Some of the machines were also supposed to have been decommissioned but for whatever reason were still humming along.
Billing is not a big deal... data center was accessed. They didnt tell employies why should they tell customees. It was all secret
Is there truth that some billing was accessed or affected? Clients need to know about this.
Ransomewear got in through about 15 employees computers and spread quickly.
IT trashed those computers
And some out of date server software. 2003 server for example.
How did they get ransomware? When I worked there they had so much anti-virus software on the computers they were barely usable.
Continue to use Windows and Windows server....expect these issues.
