Thread regarding Fossil Inc. layoffs

Is this even legal???

Can a company just cut pay and hours across the board and then keep it like that? I understand under special circumstances such as a pandemic but then to decide not to change it back later on and keep it for good? Is there no legal protection for something like this?

You will find out shortly that we will all get a permanent pay cut AND will be required to work full time going forward in August or later. Absolutely s—s. And DH/HR and ELT know you can't do a thing about it.

Pay cuts are a tiny part. The bigger picture. Screwing our retail partners with reworking our terms. And F - ing over our factory terms. Total sinking ship.

You can still be considered 'fulltime' if you work 30 hours. And what s—s is that if this happens you are not eligible for unemployment anymore, because your considered fulltime. Welcome to Fossil 2.0+

They can keep pay reductions and heard they will. Best bet is to update your resume. Surprised more people weren’t looking to jump ship after the massive layoffs before this virus.
