It means lots of people are betting that MDRX will continue its downward trend.
I'll watch the short float. If it rises, I'll short MDRX.

The short percentage of float is defined as the percentage of a company’s stock that has been shorted by institutional traders, compared to the number of shares of a company’s stock that is available for public trading.
It is generally held that a short percentage that exceeds 40% is generally a high figure, and connotes extreme bearishness of a stock. The lower the percentage, the lower the chance of the stock price going down as a result of generalized short interest in that stock.
Please explain. Is this a positive or negative sign? Would like to understand.
