Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Layoffs hitting GRC

Next will be the T Rate hitting the streets again. 190 T Rates out the door. I’m sure the dumb ones will return for more call backs and layoffs.

What's the point of having a lower pay scale if they are always going to get laid off? It won't save money to cut them and keep the few that keep costing you more money. They should have created a pay scale that paid $10 more than the D-Rates because it would at least make mathematical sense to lay those people off. Makes perfect sense to me that when you are running low on money, that you stop paying for food but keep paying for the cable because you can survive for one second without entertainment. It is a complete joke to watch things fall apart while those who should be smart enough to figure it out and stop/slow it down can't figure out what it's happening. GE needs a HUGE reset!!!!!

Evendale here. I have a hunch, but what’s a d rate and t rate? Asking for a friend.....

Years ago, a fantastic union leadership team pitched a company proposal to the membership to vote on. If we agree to bring a T rate scale, $10.00 an hr less on every pay scale than D rates, we will bring hundreds of jobs to our union Facility. So a D rate makes 34.00 an hr, a T rate would be 24.00 as a example. Well hundreds of layoffs later, here we are!!

Yeah I have to say I do love making that d-rate money. Especially when I get to watch you T rate trash work harder for less. Just the nonstop complaining is comical in itself. Now we get to listen to you cry about getting laid off. Funny how it's so horrible, but then come time to say bye bye, you cry like a bunch of blat asses. How long has this been now? How many years? And you still won't shut the f up. Finally be peace again. Adios T rate b–ches hahaha

The Papa show is an opps leader who enjoys digging in his buttocks for potatoes while walking down the bay. Papa is the type of person who would drive a Honda with leather driving gloves on while listening to Britney Spears. Papa likes to have these moments on the floor like a Special gifted person would have not getting his way in the candy isle. Some would say Papa would have seizures on the floor others would say he gets upset because no one respects him and laugh at him in his face. Soon the Papa show will be in the bread line like the T Rates. 273 is a real clown show these days.

15pT8BN2—-The D Rate is the legacy rate at the local 301. The D Rates voted to reduce the pay $10 and no longer make 7fh2 generators. 6 months later the 7fh2’s where back. The union should of got all the post 2011 hires the same rate because of an agreement. Also the Failed battery Was part of the deal couple years later it closed. Well that should of brought the unions pay scale to equal pay. Right? The T Rates got hired and treated like c-/p because they were a lower pay scale. The d rates were in fear for their jobs and pensions. The T Rates Got No Pension only a couple until the union gave that away for post 2011 in the later part of the year. The company divided the local union 301 in Schenectady.

15pT8BN2- Of course you’re like the job seeing how it pays $11 more an hour than your last job.
15pT8BN2-of course we pay more in dues because of babies like you crying. It’s ok though soon enough it will be a D rate shop again and you will be making $11 an hr less again.

Of course they've done well for you, you're a d rate you pay them more in union dues. I came back because I actually like the job and truthfully I think the union makes things worse

15pT8BN2- if the union s-s anyways than why did you stay during layoffs? Or come back on call backs?im a D Rate and this union has done well for me I might say. I was thinking on taking the VRIP if offered but I might stay to watch all you cry baby T Rates get laid off again. Then see how many come back again it is an amusing process. Then the T Rates who complained and cried will be gain to cry again.

Approximately 50 this round. They have to reduce overhead...what do you expect after VRIP?

Good to know they still have new hires starting throughout 2020 and interns still coming.
