Covid Cases Rising Drastically in Houston

Highest hospitalization rate on record for Houston area in the past few days. I’m curious how OXY is planning to return to work safely. Seems like Covid really ramped up since reopening. They really should just keep allowing us to safely work from home if we can do our job effectively. No field employees, this does not include you.

I say we all show up at a Greenway to protest OXY and it’s terrible policies and criminal activity!?!? If we all showed up together at once, maybe they’ll start listening. It just might make the Wall Street insiders who voted to keep VH think twice, also.

It will always be this way when you have thousands going to the street to protest. As hard as I worked to stay away from people you have thousands that went and protested, and then went back to their families and friends to spread it even more. Wait till that hits the hospitals. Now if the rates don't go up drastically in the next couple of weeks maybe the thousands of guinea pigs that hit the streets will be one great experiment that shows the virus is not spreading as much. We are only protected if we all practice social distancing, and from what I have seen many don't even care. I would not be surprised if Oxy employees were out protesting as well. From a protesting stand point that is their right, but from a point of protecting themselves, families, and co-workers it was pretty reckless of them. You will never get a group as large as Oxy is to conform, so as long as the virus is around we will have a chance of getting it.
