Protests couldn’t come any worse time for Oxy. Protests are so relevant to Oxy culture inside. VH strives for gender equality and ignores all other inequalities.

If people would quit whining and finding things that are "holding them back", maybe they could move up. If you get screwed over, well, that happens sometimes. You want to get moved ahead without doing the work or putting in the time, maybe that is your issue. How many years do you have? Have you worked the extra hours, went the extra mile, put in extra training on your own. How many times have you jumped in and took over something that maybe wasn't even your responsibility and took ownership and made it happen? If you have done all of those things and were looked over because of your gender, or race or anything, then you have a complaint perhaps. Or perhaps there was someone else doing the same or a little more than you that got it. Either way, a company that has any sense will promote those that can make the most impact. If you are a whiner, or think you are owed something, then you don't deserve it.

Oxy could do better in terms of many things. Too bad VH wasted it on her own ambitions. There’s good and then there’s great companies. She effectively made Oxy into a mediocre company with some good-ish assets.
Oxy does not have gender equality. I won’t get into the proof. If you think it’s the women that are favored then you are wrong.
