We are leading in the Decom market winning all the big contracts and hiring people while everybody else is laying off. Ardyne will very shortly be a Baker company and we will have even more business. We are also branching into renewables and that will be growing too

The money is gone in the industry, rates are getting slashed.
Thousands are getting made redundant just to get employed on half salary or new zero hour contracts.
companies like BP wont just cut 10000 staff for the fun of it as that alone is huge pay outs as they actually look after there staff unlike Baker with the basic redundancy.
Baker have already paid of thousands of people and weekly in Aberdeen more are going on what was already a 60% smaller office than 5 years ago.
We don't have the staff or experience anymore to compete for work so either way Baker Aberdeen is done.
The oil capital is like a 3rd world city, dirty , highest unemployment in Scotland and top 3 in UK, highest drop in house prices in the UK, most propertys for sale or rent by almost 8 times.
More closed shops, bars, restaurants than any other city but 3 times and this downturn has not even started as most companies still have thousands of people on furlough with 3 months till that stops too.

Renewable energy is not a 10 min in-house course you give to low skill mwd operators. It’s a serious science

If Decom is the saviour of Baker and so amazing why are Baker paying off decom staff in the Aberdeen office? I take it also you have not seen any of the reports that almost all decom work that is up companies are asking for 40 to 60% reduction of service company rates and costs so not sure how you think this is going to make us the billions we already write off last month????

Fired for incompetence

Going to be tens of thousands more in Aberdeen, all the companies and businesses at the moment are getting huge hand outs, staff paid and no rates 6 months from now 50% will be shut down.
Already bars, restaurants and shops saying can't afford to reopen.
The city was a total mess after last downturn and never recovered it's just in freefall now.

Lot more to come, just wait until employers asked to pay 20% wages and NIC for furloughed staff, RIP Aberdeen.
