foremen and supervisors are needed to fabricate the points system to suit , they will be gone when the dirty work is over
Agree , furlough the experience and monitor whats left to see who ( if any ) are worth keeping , should take this stance throughout the whole company and get rid of the dead wood !
Looking from a different perspective the guys furloughed are safely put into storage and won't have to deal with what's coming next.
I fully expect once the consultation starts, it will be the guys still working who will be in the firing line.
Management just using this opportunity to nail down who will be let go once they've got all the stats.

Why have both charge hands not been furloughed? One can't read a tape measure and the other sends operators to fatty to get help because he is useless.
It seems like that they just had indirect labor got hit last three weeks. DQ do not touch direct labor yet. Not done with 300.
Pay rates will be a big issue in this. DQ is notorious for doing everything cheap.
Why would you think any different. One operator trained a boy then got furloughed and the other boy kept that really makes sense although it could be about pay rates
