I might have heard her name wrong. She called me because my boss and his boss are both furloughed. My boss didn't even know I was being laid off. But whatever, I got my severance letter today and they are paying me well into six figures to go away so I'm not looking to rock the boat.
To AngryOldDev. Hmmm. There is no one I can find in outlook directory or success factors named "Karen Michelson", and no one in dev or te&o I contacted has any idea who you are or what you are on about. perhaps you're posting on the wrong board or your age and anger have confused you?
If anyone from Sabre calls any of us for any freaking thing, tell them you will contract for that work and you have a $300/hr rate with a 5 hr minimum.
We have all seen cases such as the post below.
Some company such as Infosys will be brought in.
It will cost 500% or more best case what the employee were paid, but somehow on paper Sabre will believe it were a 90% savings.

Its TRUE. There will be 800 emp laid off "worldwide". The official last day is July 5th. Major reorg will be announced after layoffs are complete
None of my colleagues reported receiving an email in EMEA yet,but some know inofficially already from their managers.
So far APAC and MVD have been hit, any updates from EMEA?
Received and email from my manager to join a meeting about organizational changes. I assume the this is the end for me in Sabre, US.
Some emails indicating furlough is terminated where also sent to employees. This confirms that email indicating you would be called means layoff
Mails received in MVD. You should be called to confirmed but it seems that if you received the email you are done.
What team in APAC are inter impact?
It's true APAC layoffs for some furloughed staff started this morning in Singapore.
I received an email saying that theres an update on my postition and that HR would be contacting me.
I assume I am going to be impacted today.
That post "It has started in APAC" was probably written by the same troll who constantly writes here that Sabre will go bankrupt. S/He is probably having fun seeing you worried as hell.
