Nearly 15 Sales and Operations Directors have been given notice of separation as of yesterday 6/4. Jon Freier originally said nearly everyone below Director level which includes District Manager and District Ops Manager were also safe. He recanted that 2 weeks ago and now we await our impending doom. Most directors termed were from Legacy Sprint and Metro.

Good boy club at Sprint for years. Saw it day in and day out. Nextel ruined Sprint, bad culture from the start. Never believed anything they told us. Company driving right into the ground. So glad to be out of Sprint. Being laid off was the best thing ever.
Has anyone heard anything regarding layoffs for Great Plains contractors. Or Employees in the Facilities departments?
Freier is the worst of them. Almost everything he said on his calls in April is the exact opposite now.
It's a m—acre my friends. They lied to the Feds, The States and now us. Goodluck to everyone i hope some pull through this.
Was every trainer on the call or just those that were affected?
9 weeks plus 1 week for every year with the company.
What is the severance?
I got let go on a group call today. I’m in training. If it’s a group call they are more than likely all getting let go. Severance was very solid at least.
I have been at Sprint for a long time and have never heard of group calls unless it was to say everyone’s job is safe. But at this point, who knows. This just s—s because they said we would all have jobs under the director level and now we have the waiting game....

What indirect channels? IAE's, DPOMS and IPOMS have calls tomorrow morning. Not looking good as all calls are group calls.
National retail is tomorrow. RSMs must have found out today, ISM’s and NRAE’s find out tomorrow.
Anyone hear about National Retail?? Haven’t heard of any indirect cuts in our region so far
First round of cuts made today for indirect the rest of the roles find out in the morning I’m hearing many did not make the cut and the DMs took a HUGE hit in COR.
It was an absolute m—acre in Sprint Legacy and will be for the next 2 days
Interested to see the operational positions and how those map/turnout especially with the field support roles as there are tons of those positions currently on Sprint end but few on the tmo side.
I’m hearing business was safe in my region awaiting other indirect news - also heating the Tmo side heard this morning of their own fates and new assignments.
Heard it was a bloodbath today. Business sales regions gutted completely
yes, I meant it was 15 just from my region. Not 15 total
Rumor is by Tuesday next week many will know where they stand.
That list includes Metro directors as well. 15 is pretty accurate.
It was way more than 15 and it was almost the entire legacy sprint retail directors.
Those with business and technical skillsets will survive, kingdom makers and politicians wont.
@ DMA Operation Executive
I agree not all, but too many!!
Sadly, Sprint has leadership that is very experienced, which means they’ve been around & thus learned the Sprint way to survive. That’s exactly why it’s a culture problem, not a people problem.
Yes - Sprint has many great people working for them!! However, most of the leaders need to go because they just aren’t willing to change.
@Kc HQ Gal
Not all leaders at Sprint lead based on fear! I can't disagree many do especially the ones that have been here for years, but many have tried to build a positive culture leading from the front, I hope they are recognized and retained. Sprint and I'm sure Metro as well has a lot of talented leaders that can help maintain and continue to build the T-mobile culture
Sprint leadership culture has got to go. I sat in many meetings with them and all they did was work off of fear.
Of course many “Sprint” directors and their teams will be impacted. They are building on the T-Mobile culture, not the Sprint culture.
Let’s face it. Sprints “culture” of leadership is very out dated, based on fear and power flexing from the top down.
Regionals, Sales managers, DM’s are next - Yes
Correct. All the “support” Directors have not been announced. Everyone will know by the 18th.
I disagree.....maybe Corp Sales Directors were cut this week, but there are many more directors @ corp that don't fall into the "sales" organizations....you know, the people that support all the sales functions.
corporate directors were already cut this past week. Now regionals and dm's are next. Which is what I fall into!
Of course the cuts are happening to Sprint and Metro employees. Every process is moving to the way TMO does business. More cuts are coming up in the next 2 weeks. Directors @ corporate is happening the week of 6/8 and people under the Director Level are happening the next week. Lots of cuts coming.........
