How can Transformco leverage itself to once again be in a profitable position ? How can sustainable economies of scale be obtained in purchasing product, when such a meager store count is required to be fulfilled ? Especially considering the vast area encompassing those haberdasharies. As an exemplary paradigm of our nation's retailing landscape, you can likely comprehend my perpetual state of being ever so busy, constantly bombarded for advice by top executive business peers. Therefore I implore thee to manifest responses of terse yet informative order, while simultaneously maintaining verifiable checking of represented statements. Unfortunately my schedule forces me to bypass those not adhering to the aforementioned stipulations.

This is pathetic. Like the little kid who is playing with an ant hill but never gets bored and doesn't do that "Step on them all" routine. This is just one ant at a time.
More stores told today that they are closing
Thet should just concentrate on a region and go whole hog on groceries in that region like the old super k's.
Maybe they dont need to purchase new product. Just keep moving stuff from the closing stores to the open stores, until there are no open ones left.
Hometown closer to 300, 60-70 coming up for contract renewal. Only the very least business savvy will sign the one sided rag. Some are looking at going after COO and DVP for legal misrepresentation.
Troll.
This was dumb the first three times you posted this. Get a new hobby.
Hometowns, closer to 360.
Original post is nothing but ckickbait......degrades to nothing but gobblelygook.
The few stores are too far apart for efficient distribution of product. If they were a regional chain maybe it could work. But not this far flung national chain.
There are 450 hometowns too. There's plenty on the hardlines side. Softlines and dry grocery though not so much. There are however grocery buying collectives like Western Family they could source grocery from. Softlines would have tk be completely combined between kmart and sears. Depending on how much is ordered online it may be enough.
Another worthless post.
Another thread on here called them a big chain at 40 and 80 stores (roughly). So is it a big profitable chain or too-few for economies of scale? Cast your votes and provide constructive arguments.
