Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

Lay-off - only furloughed employees ?

Are all employees potentially subject to layoffs or only the furloughed ones ?

I guess it would be mainly furlough people. Many (almost all) furlough had no contact with the company though this weeks with leaders showing no interest on keeping touch. The way this was handled demonstrated no interest on having people back

@1gfm+15j2ILuM maybe you could post this again in a way that makes sense.

I forget exact wording but before the furlough they made a point to suggest that furloughIng was not about who would or would be kept long-term.
To me that indicates that furloughed employees will be the target of the up coming lay-off.

im sure they want a better indication of who is actually coming back after furlough so that they can know how that affects the 800.
Thats one smart reason on why to wait.

The sooner, the better. Hoping you're right on that one.

“How” is not relevant. People are already identified, there is no point to keep them for a month. By 9th June, it’s a done deal.

I'm sure it will be a mix of both furloughed and not furloughed, depending on how the new structure will look like.
