Is there a % cap on internal hire pay offers? I'm currently interviewing for an internal transfer within the same group (but on another team). I'm currently a grade 6 (just promoted to a 6 in January of this year) and the role I'm applying for is also listed as a 6. I am hoping to get hired as a 7 or get a % increase in pay. Does anyone know if this is likely? Or what % raise would be a reasonable expectation?

There is no such thing as a promotion transfer. If you transfer, it’ll be at your same grade.
You’re dreaming...and it’s a stupid dream.
Why in the world would you post that in this forum. Read the room. Know your audience.
If you have only been promoted to grade 6 and the new role is advertised as grade 6 why would you expect to be hired as grade 7?
You will not be upgraded to 7 unless there is a clear exception and agreement between your new and old manager and departments. Every position can be filled by one grade higher and one lower and you normally carry your old grade with you. Seems intel does so to avoid people moving around to circumvent upgrade process, sad because like this they force you to resign and move back in if you are stalemate due to lobbying and sidelining
