3-4 times as much? This is something that a high schooler can do, and it'd sure beat working at McDonalds. Don't make the assumption that workers overseas are paid significantly less than domestic workers. Resources in India work in a highly competitive field, and AS has been known to increase pay to keep workers (who are employees, not contractors) from leaving.
Replying to @2fam+15hn7gak - why can't it be done onshore? Simple answer is that it can, but it will cost an average of 3-4 times as much
Development. They let go of Pakistan but Vietnam is still there. More US based dev resources on the block... fun times.
@2qtb+15hn7gak: Which begs the question, really: why is this something that can't be done onshore? It's not like it requires education in one of Bangalore's diploma mills.
@2qlj+15hn7gak Hey Easily Offended Karen, it ever occur to you that the only people in MIS doing desktop support at a ticket level are all in Bangalore? If they're not in Bangalore they may be in Pune, but both of those places are in INDIA. ALL of those functions for MIS are based in India. Those are cold hard facts. It's literal truth that those workers are the only ones closing 500 tickets a month because each ticket takes about 30 seconds to work on. What are people supposed to say if that is exactly the way it is so as to not offend you?
There you go again. Pointing finger towards India . You id–ts never change and that's the reason you are in Allscripts. Look yourself first and point finger towards others later.
Password resets? That's actually someone's job? LOL
Why the heck isn't that process automated already?
@1swh+15hn7gak
Don't know about you but i read that Bangalore comment as total sarcasm
As it should be...
“On the positive side, the MIS Worker in Bangalore who Processes 500 Password Resets A Month will Never Get Fired.”
The answer is simple: Those with the lowest amount of Completed Cases in Salesforce or ServiceNow or Oracle are at the head of the line to be fired, that should be apparent to anyone who has been paying attention since April. At every level we're being told those Queues are being monitored by The Very Highest Levels because that is what they have determined is the sole Metric by which our Performance is Measured. It doesn't matter to the clipboard checking Culture and Talent drones what actual work is done or the relative importance of the work or even that a lot of what many people do just isn't Recorded in an Application. In my Group they have added multiple new Layers of Process where Tasks get bounced between Groups just to get Approvals to Proceed. Just remember that the Process is Impartial, and Only Your Numbers Mean Anything. On the positive side, the MIS Worker in Bangalore who Processes 500 Password Resets A Month will Never Get Fired.
We saw this movie before.
@ jdr+15hn7gak re: "AVP of Sol Mgt based out of California needs to be absolutely resign to keep Analytics team going" I couldn't agree more on this but it is my understanding that the Analytics department is no longer there. I knew people in that dept and they laid off more in May, including the director of that dept (BP), then dispersed who was left across the BUs (SCM, TW, PRO). They let go of so many worker-bees while they kept top-heavy VP and other management. It makes no sense except they're only looking out for themselves (spoiler alert).
Meg, PB, LK, bad news seems to follow them..
Is meg a competent leader
As long as Meg the Queen of spreadsheets is around there's fat to be cut!
As demand seems low right now due to COVID, I wouldn't be surprised to see big cuts to PM's and IC's
In addition to PB/RP/LK, an AVP of Sol Mgt based out of California needs to be absolutely resign to keep Analytics team going. He has nothing to offer to our clients except constant blah blah BS and ZERO vision.
Can the person that posted this originally provide any insight as to which product groups will be impacted?
PB and LK are the worst I ever see, having no competency and integrity. So sad they become the leaders in Allscripts.
Management and management ought to be on the chopping block. Management’s is way to heavy’

The search term, Allscripts layoffs is trending on Google. Bizarre, this is quite the beehive of chatter.
