I recently was laid off from Mariner Finance , I was given 2 weeks severance pay. They let go of sevral people from every team .

That company is gonna be hurting pretty bad soon enough. When folks don't have jobs, you can't verify employment and lend to them. Unemployment is super high right now. i won't be surprised if they do another round of layoffs by the fall. I use to work for them and I am not sure about this.
I was also laid off. I am curious how they determined who to let go. I loved my job, so I don’t plan on applying for any other positions. I also think it was done very shady. They never even implied this was a possibility. I’m waiting to get my personal items back. I’ve had to ask multiple times.
I was let go as well. Over 400 people in total from all over the company. They said business is down 50% and encouraged us to reapply for other positions which is ridiculous.
Wow? Any word on why or how many folks were let go? What do you think the "real" reason is??
