Who have they called back so far? (Department, status, title)

Answers would be nice. No communication whatsoever since furloughed. I would like to know if I have a job or not. I liked my job.
Most of the HR department has not been called back. We are fearing that we won’t either. Only 3 people from HR including a supervisor have been called back. So need to call us heartless when we never make any decisions and 95% of us are still furloughed.
POL is done. Selling the valuable land it sits on to a developer to become an apartment complex.
If it referenced people or specific spots that the person could be found or addresses... they will delete it. They axed my explanation of POL too. Even though literally... it doesnt give anything out really.
They deleted my post on sales and marketing....hmmmm...I didn’t use bad language or proper names. What are you afraid of? Don’t even know who “they” is, but “they” did it.
Any protests will be after the phases are completed. No one mentiond to protest now.
Marc is a puppet hes an on again off again yes man. He will never stand up for the employee he wont do it for himself twice interim CEO. Do you really think they spent any money to clean the parks. All the theam parks know how to put on a good show for officials b.ll s..t they all sell it. Its there job to make people believe and escape the world for awhile. As far as a protest it this time it wouldn't do anything. They already have their plan and its in play. I heard it is going to be a phased in to come back those of you not back as of yet enjoy that unemployment. God knows its more than they pay. Keep your heads up and find a better job where you are apperacited for your work. A company that covers your insurance or pay for a crisis like Disney or Universal. Good luck to all.
Hey, guys I’m back and it still s—s!!!!
It is wonderful that we aren't keeping our moths shut anymore. Let's keep sharing this forum with coworkers. We need to get this out!
What is places of learning?
Indeed...
As far as marketing goes.. I wonder if the marketing outsource will still occur at places of learning or if they will do their own offices? I would bet money that they will cut POL if they can find a way to do so.
Well at least the potential guests are receiving communication updates for the park... who is in charge of the park communications for employees ??? Crickets 😡😡
**As we prepare to open the gates of SeaWorld Orlando to a limited capacity on June 11, I want to take this opportunity to share with you how SeaWorld is committed to safely opening our parks for you, our employees, and the animals in our care.
We have spent considerable time over the past two months making sure our parks are ready for your return by working alongside health experts, attraction industry leaders and fellow park operators to make our strict health, safety and cleanliness standards even stronger.
We are eagerly looking forward to welcoming you back to our parks and to again providing you with fun, inspiring and memorable experiences.
Without question, we want you in our parks and we also want you safe when you’re here.
We can’t wait to welcome you back.
Marc Swanson
Interim Chief Executive Officer
SeaWorld Entertainment, Inc.
I heard some of theming is back
Marc IS Ross’s puppet and that’s why he will be made permanent CEO. No one else would put up with his s—t!!
I hate to say it but I posted a while ago they would bring most back part time so they don’t have to pay benefits.
Finance, no one on my team called back yet. No hint of yes or no.
WOW!!!! They are sinking so low. This coming directly from a good friend in HR. They aren't calling back most Full time employees. They want us to be forced to look for other jobs. If we get another job before SeaWorld releases us SeaWorld doesn't have to pay us a severance. WOW!!! THIS IS OUT OF CONTROL and so low!
Department?
Recent update.... they are bringing back supervisors and not calling back assist supervisors. SMH
Personally I believe all of these "Employee appreciation" days pre-opening with guests (seaworld and universal included) are just ways for us to be used as guinea pigs. If I do get called back, I wont be there unless I have to work.
Lol I'm not an HR person at all but whatever you want to think. I'm just brutally honest, we're in a worldwide pandemic still and you are not the only ones without a job. The media doesn't care.
Everybody is complaining about the lack of communication. Is this your first day at SeaWorld? It's always been like this since I've worked here. Is it great? Of course not. But I certainly don't expect that to change in the middle of a pandemic.
Our CEO told our governor, orange county, and the media that there was going to be an employee preview night on June 10th. Is the another perk for their upper management and their favorites that they have called back. Or are we, the unwanted furloughed employees invited?
We, the furloughed employees, want our jobs back!!! Common courtesy goes a long way. Let us know what's going on! Marc Swanson, you are in control now. Show us that you care and you are not one on Scott Ross's puppets.
Protesting works. How would it look if employees are at the entrances? Let's ask the guests not to return until we return. Give us our jobs back! Let upper management sit at home.
Media is fine, but the story must stay a top of the news cycle. A one day story will do nothing.
Against the current headline news we don't stand a chance.
Wow... sounds like human resources or someone that was lucky enough to be called back is replying. Think about us. You that are defending management's actions are just as guilty. We need our jobs!
Finally, someone understands!
We're in the middle of a pandemic with hundreds of thousands of people out of work and laid off and you think the media is going to care about another company laying people off? We all know how bad they are at communicating with ambassadors. We all know it's last minute all the time. We all know they're cheap and only bring back 3 people to do the job of 10. The parks are JUST starting to open. Obviously everyone is not needed all at once.
Attempting union and being met with lawyers are close enough to be the same IMO.
Also, definitely not in senior management 😂
Also let PETA know— they’d have a field day with this.
Wrong, we have NEVER tried unions. In the past we had lawyers in place to stop us from attempting to form a union. You must be someone from senior management. I guarantee if we get this out to national media it will be more than a story. THERE ARE MANY ANTI SEAWORLD GROUPS THAT WILL HELP US.
Media won't do anything except maybe run a story. We've tried unions before it hasn't worked.
If you're back then good for you; for the rest of us, maybe it'll be a blessing in disguise.
For anyone who’s not brought back and let go, I’d suggest seeking legal advice for a class action suit. Plus media, media, media!! For those returning, you should seriously consider a union for protection.
COBRA insurance
Many of us can not afford Cobra benefits. So we are chancing it. we have 60 days to sign up for cobra. We only have a day or two left. If SeaWorld let's us go in 3 days 4 days 5 days we will not have the option to have medical benefits. Are they doing this on purpose? if I sign up for Cobra today I have to sign up for April May and June. I don't know about you but I don't have the money to do so. SeaWorld, please let us know what's going on with our positions we need to know what to do with our health insurance if you have any heart please please please help us and our families.
Sadly they have had two months to figure out how to do this. Silence from leadership s—s and reallllly makes you feel appreciated. Equally sad I suspect my department will be gutted even more and the only people brought back will be the cheap labor that was not good at their jobs to begin with, or have such issues that they can even get banned from a particular dept/building and screw the good people even if they required more pay.
We've never faced anything like this before. The company will do what it sees fit to protect itself. They will bring back minimal staff to get the park open. With more attendance comes more staff. I personally would rather see weekly waves of returns rather than a mass return with reduced hours which may disqualify you from unemployment benefits.
I've been with the company a long time. Our HR departments aren't the best to begin with and in a situation like this they are given minimal information to keep the plan(s) under wraps. I doubt there is a well structured process of who's to be called back and in which order. Positions will be combined, work loads will double, some positions may be eliminated in the process... it's all really hard to tell. We as a company have always s—ed at communicating to individuals.
Please do not take out your frustrations on your supervisors/managers... most of them aren't making any decisions and have little to influence on outcomes. The hardest part in all in all this is not knowing where you land. Hope for the best, plan for the worst.
if is am not returned, I may refuse my package and instead go the the media. The treatment we are receiving is worth the media's attention.
Local news is being sent a letter of the way SEA is handling this return. HR keeps updating their verbiage in "return to work" procedure notice on SEAPORT. Also, they told us they would send us notifications. They haven't sent me a single notice in three months. Have you been sent any notifications? They are being so cruel.
has anyone else been let go? Does no one know who else has been called back? Is HR telling those that return that they can not say anything? Our HR department is so heartless.
TJ did get a severance package, but no specifics.
Don't have details on T.J. but it wasn't she who left. They told her she is separated from the company.
