confirmed 44% of remaining staff and .69% above will get the word tuesday
The HP Way was replaced by Who Moved My Cheese years ago. I must have 4 copies of that book from HP managers.
Pretty quiet so far here, but no "all clear" meeting yet.
There definetly was layoffs in print today. Contractors and some FTEs.
Our brethren on HPE side report that there are no layoffs for now, just various paycuts till the end of FY20. Since the ELTs are not very inventive (the same sh–ty MBA playbook that was hammered into them by Mark Hurd)- perhaps the same would be true for HPI.
I was informed of WFR'd today, as well as a few of my coworkers. We are in the global product group
That was another company.
I wish I had kept my copy of The HP Way.
HP is still committed to return to shareholders 100% of free cash flow in FY20-22
Laying off staff to buyback stock and give dividends to shareholders. Hmmmm what would Dave Packard say about this....
"A company has a greater responsibility than making money for its stockholders. We have a responsibility to our employees to recognize their dignity as human beings."
which area will be affected?
Not Monday, silly. Tuesday. 10 to 15%. Oh, and that pay cut the ELT took will save literally "hundreds of jobs" (direct quote). BTW HP is still committed to return to shareholders 100% of free cash flow in FY20-22.
I think it’s a good question. I’m curious as well.
