Will we purchase Ardyne to complete our offering?
Ardyne have some really good technology and also a very good team of experienced offshore and onshore people, many ex Baker and Smith / SLB. Would be a good acquisition for us.....? Noticed they are winning some big contracts recently.
Not sure about the comment on the CEO, I met him a few times when he was with us and he's a switched on guy, he did well with SLB before setting up Ardyne.
The CEO for Ardyne is a dobber! Until hes gone the sale will nea happen
26 billion over 10 years with over 100 UK decommissioning companies fighting for the work.
So lucky if Baker gets a few % of that booming and most of that work wont even happen.
Some rigs were ready 8 years ago to get decommissioned and are still sitting there with nothing in place as not worth the exspence to the company.
Baker just lost 10 billion in 4 months you think a few hundred million pounds of work will save Baker over 10 years work are you having a laugh.
Baker are far to expensive and dont have the staff or knowledge to get the work.
Weatherford have taken on 50 offshore engineers last year on a ridiculous low wages of 20k a year for this job alone and already are slashing costs to get what there hoping for is 30% of the work just to look busy.
Last month it was 40 billion
So in one month 13 billion already of the work has been shelved.
The new company will be called Bakerdyne Decom Services however the deal may not go through now because the CEO of Ardyne is asking for too much money. That was the rumours going around the office this week
Hopefully will still get the go ahead
