Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Really Quiet Here

I have noticed a steep decline in posts at Layoff.com in recent days.

It seems that when things are bad, people will talk out of their a– about layoffs coming.

But when there are actual layoffs, reality sets in and there is a lot of silence.

I have been sitting back and monitoring things since I left Boeing in November. I'm still working, no union, I make more than I did at Boeing and I get paid for my performance. Better working environment, warmer weather, more sun.

I feel for you all, I really do. But, you got what you were asking for for over a year. Deal with it.

Thanks for making my point for me. No one said Boeing was perfect. Everyone knows the track record and it speaks for itself.

What you proved and said is that nothing has changed, and you are right.

The only thing that has changed is that the keyboard warriors that posted negativity and predicted layoffs abruptly stopped when the WARNs went out.

Who were the ones in denial. They ones saying there were no layoffs coming, or the ones who were talking sh– about layoffs coming and obviously did not think it would impact them (those are the people no longer posting)

I appreciate your support

Great insight there Sigmund Freud. (@9qyq+15bBx50n) Nothing has changed, Boeing still bites and makes c-appy planes.

A lot of people talked a lot of sh– here for 18 months, but when the real action starts, this place went dead.

What a bunch of p—ys. You wanted layoffs. You posted negative c-ap about the company. You predicted layoffs of a weekly basis. But now when you get what you asked for, you cower in your mom's basements.

Now wonder Boeing is a horrible place to work, I can see what the people are like from the posts here for the last year and a half.

What? Did that hurt your feelings? Did it hit to close to home? Yeah, go ahead and downvote. It does not change the fact that its true.

To the individual who is now working in Texas, good on you, glad you found something and that you're enjoying it. I plan on moving on as soon as possible. Boeing has turned out to be the worst decision I've ever made in my aviation career. It's not to late to start over, and I'm definitely looking forward to it.
Good luck to the rest of you if you're moving on.

@szd+15bBx5On I choose not to put my employer's name out there for the same reason you don't post your BIMS I'd.

Anonymous my a–. If they want to find you, they will. Why make it easier. I'll just say I am in Texas in aerospace and not where you might first think.

Yeah, there is a bit of gloating to it. There were a bunch of people who trashed me when I said I was looking and when I said I was getting out. All the while posting garbage about layoffs that did not happen till now.

I kept saying, if you hate the company that much, why keep taking a paycheck. And I put my money where my mouth was. I moved. It's hard, it still does not feel completely like home, but it will get there.

We are not laying off, not even rumors of it. While I am skeptical (too many years at Boeing), there does seem to be more of a trust here. It will probably take me a while to get to that point too.

I don't wish ill will on anyone, but the irony is not lost that many here posted c-ap about layoffs and when they finally got them, there is little chatter.

Be well, stay safe, and get out and look. There are jobs out there, you just have to know where to look.

@OP+15bBx5On Most of us aren't upset or surprised and trust me we're dealing with it. It's not like we have a choice in the matter. I personally am going to accelerate the process. The traffic has died down here because all of these guys who were in denial just woke up to reality. If you're going to gloat about a different job at least mention what it is your doing, not that anybody cares. If it was that good you wouldn't be on here talking about it. Seems like a lot of the trolls took a hike.

I agree, we are looking at a 20-30% cut. So far we have done 8%.

But, we are building the uncertified MAX again

Where's all the naysayers that claimed layoff's would never happen? That we were all crazy conspiracy theorists. This is just the beginning.
