Oh boy no loss with the new hires first in line at the cafeterias and time clocks
Oh boy no loss with the new hires first in line at the cafeterias and time clocks
Ya funny! Now all there new hires that know there job is on the line, showing up on time, not using fmla, to late lmao.
Kidding right? Got job and now they don’t need you! Grow up! Was there some promise or something?
And they were all "anonymous" so they can walk by those coworkers who got WARNs without them knowing.
Make sure you look everyone of them in the eye. Your opposition to the bailout while not directly responsible, does contribute to their layoff now rather than 4 months from now.
Just remember there were many many people who posted here that Boeing did not deserve a bailout from the government. Don't take my word for it, go back and look. Some said it was because of the MAX debacle and some said it was because corporations don't deserve taxpayer help. No matter the reason, most here (and with some very ugly comments and articles) thought Bailout = BAD.
So, Boeing DID NOT take the bailout. They found another way. If they would have taken the bailout, jobs would have been protected at least until September and then, who knows, congress could have protected the jobs for longer. We don't know. But, because they did not take the bailout, they have no such restrictions. So, 12000 of your friends and coworkers will be turning in their badges over the next 2 months. VLOs in June, ILOs in July. And it's not over, there are more coming.
The moral of this story...be careful what you ask for, you just might get it.
Good for you though. You stood your ground and kept your taxpayer money.
25 thousand gone when all is said and done.
I heard the IAM collected so much from dues they are paying any laid off member until they get called back or their recall rights run out.
I heard the union has collected so much money from dues that they will pay all IAM that are laid off until they get called back or their recall right run out.
I heard the state of Washington unemployment is hiring everyone who gets layed off.
@dow .... reclassified notice means you're getting E-Class'd most likely ....meaning Emergency Classification .....meaning they're trying to temporarily save your job....meaning you'll probably eventually get a genuine WARN .....how long do you have with the company?
Got notice today 7-31 last day
anybody on loan have a reclassified noticed? what is that mean reclassified noticed? while you're on loan?
It will probably be 15 or 20%. They said at least 10% a while ago and since then the situation has only gotten worse.
@imy+15aw6M1x Save your advice for yourself. Don't worry we'll be fine.
That is only if they stop st 10% of 160000 employees. You believe them that this is only a 10% cut. You smoke the good stuff.
@qra+15aw6M1x
No, again, reading is fundamental.
6770 THIS WEEK, not today, not tomorrow.
Best guess, there are still 5000 more WARNs coming in the future, probably end of next month. That will get us to 16k with the VLOs included.
Sorry you all waited so long to leave.
Now you get to compete with 12 thousand VLO and ILO employees for the few jobs out there.
Told you.
6,770 is the FIRST wave starting today. Tomorrow is the next wave and so on.
DC’s email didn’t say what the news outlets are reporting. I think the news clowns have wrong info. If it were only 2500 then why did DC blast out an email saying 6770?
Can you READ?
"

Going to be more waves , can’t sustain current production rates without heads , as the rates go down , there we will be more
can you guys read? literally every news outlet is reporting that first round is 2500 and that 6770 is the total ILO count
DC’s email made it sound like this was the first wave.
Gotta be first wave. That and the VLOs dont add up to 10% yet.
So is the whole 10% not getting laid off right now? That seems like a pretty big change from what we've been told so far.
I think that’s just the first wave.
