They laid people off, are trying to hire, and are having a great quarter. Too bad they let people go that know the company and the culture (for better or worse). In this new world of Covid-19 and social distancing it will be extremely difficult if not impossible to fully assimilate new hires into a culture built on personal relationships. This is especially true as there are managers left behind that have no clue how to manage a dispersed, remote workforce and actually fear the loss of control. Amazing how shortsighted things can turn out to be.
