How you treat your employees will determine whether your company is a success or a failure. Employees that are treated by their companies like they are important and what they do matters will make sure to give it their all every day. Employees who are treated like c-ap will give their bare minimum each day.

How employees treat each other, in the same department and team is important too. If people don’t even say hello or good morning to each other, how can team members remain engaged. When my manager blow offs off steam by talking smack about good people behind their backs, what is the manager saying about me behind my back. I don’t have time for this nonsense.

My daughter is a pharmacist at Walgreens. As a floater, she is scheduled for a 12 hr shift next week at a pharmacy which is a 2hour drive away. Now does that make sense?

I agree that Pessina would have been fired from most companies but because he owns 15% of WBA stock and he cherry-picked several Board members so he is basically untouchable. 75% of the business is pharmacy sales in the U.S. and Boots folks only know how to cut costs which means they keep cutting hours to drive up the stock price and screwing people out of their bonuses 2 years in a hour has driven down moral company wide. Ashworth leaving was a sign most likely that things are only going to get worse.

Walgreens died when the euros took over and implemented Frontier and reorganized the DM role. Walgreens lost alot of talented DMs that new retail and replaced most of them with hacks or Pharmacist. Stock price 5 years ago 98-Stock price now 40. Any other company Pessina would have been fired a long time ago
