Novel Suggestion to Cut MRO’s Costs

There is a hint in this quote from the WSJ. “In a cost-cutting move, AutoNation in April said it would furlough 7,000 workers AND CUT EXECUTIVE PAY, and it postponed more than $50 million in capital expenditures.“

Cutting workers hasn’t helped MRO a lot, so how about trying cutting executive pay?

Cut executive pay? The stock price continues to plumb all-time lows and Tillman just gave himself a fat raise, so don't expect the board to suddenly demand accountability.

+1 on the bad hires that poison organizations and boost up their favorite do-boys.

No way should they cut their pay. Look at the tremendous leadership this group has exhibited. Bad acquisitions, bad external hires that poison organizations. Wasted money on buybacks with no accountability. Why take a pay cut?
