Thread regarding Allscripts layoffs

Stay around bonus?

Are employees still getting these? I feel like I am going to be laid off next if I don't have one.

Not sure we will ever get the truth this question. Management is not going to tell us that. IF some groups are getting retention bonuses, they are not going to identify themselves as that was probably part of the requirement to get the bonus. Those of us not getting retention bonuses, are in the dark and scratching our heads. At this point, the bigger issue is how many of us will have a job after the Q2 earnings report comes out.

So to be clear, somebody are still receiving retention bonus in Allscripts?

Yeah, pay the consultants big $ to tell you what you already know. Gee, I wonder what business should I get into for my career change. Hmmmm. LOL

Good thing these expensive consultants we hired were able to turn things around. Ha

This company has had bad times for like 6 years. Just a tough time for anyone to leave unless they have another job secured right now. That is until they blame Covid again and say goodbye to hundreds more.

When companies start having bad times the best employees are often the first leave for greener pastures. So, it would not be surprising to start seeing an exodus soon.

The comments regarding retention bonuses are speculation. If they do exist you would not likely hear about them because the employees receiving them had to sign an agreement to not talk about them.

AT this point AS is just trying to stay afloat. There won't be any unnecessary cash outlays and don't put too much stock into any extra perks.

Those good EIS jobs need to go to India.

I am in EIS and do not know one single person that got a retention bonus so I do not know where the info comes from. I am in management and I do believe I would know if this is true.

I've worked at companies where SW Devs received retention bonuses. These were given to folks with knowledge of mission critical systems. Not sure if Allscripts has done that.

Bonuses are not common for the worker bees in the rest of the business. Only certain levels in a management position. Would be nice if someone could explain why EIS is different. Does not seem fair but transparency would be nice.

Almost all the EIS coworkers I know got the retention bonus, even some new college grads we just hired. I do not know much about the Allscripts side about their payouts.

Yes they do. One of my coworkers got laid off with a retention bonus. The retention agreement said if Allscripts ended the employment before the retention period ended, the bonus will be vested automatically. If the employees end the employment (quit), or was laid off with performance cause, the retention bonus will be voided.

May those who received a “secret” bonus get laid off.

Sounds like some folks have received "secret" retention bonuses. The bonuses were given on the condition that they do not reveal that they received the bonus to other employees.

@2tpw+15YdEjKd – While Allscripts is a complete mess and owes much of it's failings to the complete lack of transparency and leadership.. no pay raises are very common across all industries right now (shocking they even promised them at review time right before huge layoffs. Shows how dysfunctional and out of touch management is!). Also, many industries and companies have implemented pay cuts as well.

Just be happy you're employed. Millions and millions, including many former colleagues, are not as fortunate.

No. Our pay is still cut in the US if you make >100k.

I thought PB instituted mandatory pay cuts due to covid-19? Have these been lifted?

You are sadly mistaken if you think there is a retention bonus at this company. It’s almost insulting to insinuate that there is when the entire company isn’t getting their promised salary increase this year and some people have actually taken pay CUTS.

25 + years with company and never had a retention bonus and had to take salary reduction this year due to COVID + no salary increase all of this year. So many inconsistencies across the board regarding compensation. Ever wonder why employees are not motivated and depressed?

I got 95% retention bonus last time 40% first payout and 55% the second payout when EIS was acquired by Allscripts. I thought the fund came from McKesson. Asked my VP before and was told Allscripts is not doing retention bonus. Whatever...

Bonuses were removed during the salary reductions in March and won’t be coming back.
