Conduent error - NJ EZ pass to refund 79,000 motorists

This system should be set it and forget it. And I’m betting Conduent only “found the error” after numerous complaints. 79,000 motorists x $50 administration fee equals $3.9 million error. Keep offshoring.

It’s happened before when they were XBS and ACS, Blodgett family used it as a ploy to boost revenue then opps they caught it and now we need to refund when we get around to it. They have also been known to apply erroneous charges to Student Loan payments and motor vehicle fines...lost a lot customers and State accounts.

Does Conduent even have $3.9 M? When they were ACS then XBS they had a habit of issuing inaccurate traffic violations charges which would benefit them. They perfected it into a dependable revenue stream. Did the same with Student Loans, would record student loan payments after the due date as they were entitled to keeping the late fees. The mistake they made was depositing some checks in a timely manner, providing customers with evidence that they had in fact paid on time. In the interim they ruined the the credit of loan holders.
