Thread regarding United Technologies Corp. layoffs

My situation is good compared to those that have lost jobs

I work at Pratt & Whitney in the 24 hour help desk department. We are being forced to have a pay raise deferment until 2021, a 3 week unpaid furlough and a 10 percent pay cut effective June 1st. At this point in my life I am happy that I have a job.

My situation is good compared to those that have lost jobs. I am hopeful that we will get through this pandemic and that the 30 million that are unemployed will have the opportunity to get back to their careers and livelihood.
