On June 23rd 2020, Parker reduced the hours of the hourly staff of Exotic Metals Forming division, effective immediately. Hours were reduced by 20% resulting in 32 hr work weeks for most people. Washington sites were approved for the state's "Shared Work" program & allows most to claim unemployment without jumping through hoops (yeah right) . Not sure if the Phoenix location has the same deal. This situation was supposed to last at least a month & we're on our 4th week. Most are expecting it to be extended, though many others suspect that this is a test run to determine whether to layoff an additional 20% as we did back in April.
