If Macy's is staying open while the malls close, maybe they are doing in Cali what they did here in PA and NJ – stores are allowed to be open if they have an exit to the outside ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I think Macy's doesn't have a plan, if there's another lockdown. Are they going to furlough or layoff the employees. Is Macy's going stop sending fall merchandise to there stores. They already stop sending spring and summer merchandise. Almost all the merchandise are last act. Lockdowns are coming soon to other states in our country. This fall and winter is going to be a nightmare.
How is it that Macys is staying open in LA county even with the new shutdown order? What is the loophole ? My guess is that ots because they have other doors to access the store other than the mall door. This will definitely hurt and reduce the foot traffic.
I was on a call yesterday about it and a store
Manager asked this question
“So what kind of business will the store have with the mall and all other retailers around us closed? And how do you expect to keep everyone employed?”
Silence
“We don’t have those answers yet”

There's not enough in the stores to support curbside right now! That's a joke!
Probably 65% in Last Act at this point. And what happens to all the returns people can't walk back in the door? Can't do curbside returns!
It's not even the second wave COVID-19. Imagine what's going to happen in the Fall and Winter. The holidays season is not going to be the same anymore. 😟
