Thread regarding Shell Oil layoffs

Now that SVS is over, will the MORs be “open” or “closed”?

Most MORs in the past have been “open” I.e. anyone in the company whose window is open can post for an MOR job. For example, someone sitting in Lubes can actually apply for a Shales job that is in an MOR batch.

I have this inkling that they are going to close off the MORs this year, meaning you can only apply for a job in your LOB’s MOR batch,

Anyone else know? There can be real opportunities, believe it or not, I posed for an MOR job in 2009 and not only got the job, but a job grade raise——and never even had a F2F interview,

Midstream was told it's open. You can apply to anything

Unlikely they would block MORs for outsiders.

The real deal may be that if you apply, they post your job immediately as well. So if you don't get anything, you're out. Typically they have to wait till you get something before they can backfill your spot. US HR rules of something, they don't want to create needless redundancies.
