As someone who lives in the area I'd like to know when the liquidation sales start.
That's not true about only 8 small format Sears. There are literally 100's of Sears Hometowns, which are, literally, small format Sears.
In what way does gong from 3,500 stores to around 60 not qualify as a true liquidation?
I'm very sorry to hear about this store's closing. Great place, great employees.
Funny how someone said that as soon as they opened up they would start shutting them down. Boy, how right they were!!!
It brings us down to 60 full-sized Sears stores and 8 small-format stores (3 Home & Life, 4 Appliance & Mattress, and Naranjito, Puerto Rico). Add in the 34 Kmarts and the total is 94 full-sized stores.
Are they ever going to do a true liquidation of Sears, or is it just going to quietly close them one by one? I'm starting to think it will be the latter.
That brings us down to 68 full line Sears stores left! Almost below 100 for both Sears and Kmart!
