Shell and BP write downs, Shell and BPs layoffs, Shell moving to UK. Could a merger be forming?

Short answer:Nope
I have thought about this recently. I know years ago Lord John Browne elf. (BP) was about to approach Shell about BP buying Shell but for whatever reason did not follow through on it.
I think years from now one or both will cease to exist from chasing the new green deal and neglecting being an integrated oil company.
