Get ready everyone. Just heard the latest. Company waiting for COVID to be forgot to do a layoff. September is the new layoff date. Heard 50 more people from IT will be let go in September. Have to make room to hire those new people. People have been identified to be let go. Thanks Carefirst.

Expect any layoffs before the IT All Hands meeting on 9/25. Assume they will happen that week sometime. I am not aware of how many may be impacted.
BDP over his head and has been from the start. Learned the worst parts of management style from giant narcissist predecessor. Pandemic gives him excuse for not getting planned things done — yet making a lot of money because no one seeks care. Board is ignorant of what is happening.

There's a lot of gossip of who in IT will laid off and when it'll happen. I think people are afraid to message on Skype with gossiping. It's like some directors know more than others about what is going to happen. I've heard there are layoffs coming but not when and I did hear a rumor it was supposed to happen before COVID-19 so that is accurate from the poster. I'm not sure about that September date and the 50 people part. Who the heck knows? Sh–ty all around to be lied to about things that will hurt our lives. Thoughts and prayers to all of you. not surprising. sadly this is now normal at carefirst. curious if you know of any more happening in the company. no one is safe i guess is all we can prep ourselve for.
