Thread regarding Dril-Quip Inc. layoffs

Everybody wants out of Dril-Quip

I believe you will find that every person, including management want out. The only reason there is not a mass exodus is the current state of the job market. If there is a pick up, which won’t happen any time soon then most will leave.
The writing is on the wall for DQ and the oil & gas energy industry as a whole.
In the 1980’s coal became redundant, in 2020s in will be oil & gas that’s becomes redundant. The next evolution in energy is here and DQ haven’t been invited.

Does anyone actually have figure of the number of boys in the machine shop who have put in for voluntary? Seems that everyone in the machine shop wants out but who has actually followed through with VR?
