Please release me, let me go,
For I don't love you anymore.
To live a lie would be a sin.
Release me and let me love again...

There is no point in trying to make amends. Supervision just go on to the computer and change people's times to what they want.

Another poor day in production looking at the times, did dyce have a power cut today ?

Still time to make ammends over the next couple of days.

Voluntary redundancy could take care of the cuts in a number of areas and unfortunately you could be left with the neeps for the next phase of the journey.

We will all know soon enough with what’s kept , saying that they might not have much choice as it seems everyone wants out

Inefficient output and poor times made the closure inevitable.

He’s done nothing , look where we at , only thing he did was annoy all the staff. He apparently did help the craft industry though with all his boards and stickers .

Dril quip is like a bad nightmare that everyone wishes would go away , management must be embarrassed knowing that everyone hates the place. Once it’s all finished and closed mr lean will haunt the building sticking up boards everywhere for eternity

Dril Quip has become it's own worst enemy. All the budget cuts and layoffs in the world won't save it from self destruction. Screw em.

I believe you will find that every person, including management want out. The only reason there is not a mass exodus is the current state of the job market. If there is a pick up, which won’t happen any time soon then most will leave.
The writing is on the wall for DQ and the oil & gas energy industry as a whole.
In the 1980’s coal became redundant, in 2020s in will be oil & gas that’s becomes redundant. The next evolution in energy is here and DQ haven’t been invited.

Seriously though I doubt many see a future working in that place ! Apart from money, that company has given us nothing , plenty of other companies who look after staff and hopefully will snap up the skills the boys have to offer . Come on lads grow a set and move on I’m sure the future is bright! We bloody deserve it after the all this .

There is no DQ Europe anymore. DQ has pulled all manufacturing from Europe. No longer are we a Global Company and very soon we will not even be manufacturing company, this includes DQI and DQAP. The Proserve deal was only the start.

No machine shop required for limited Aftermarket work, cheaper to outsource and phase in eventual closure.

In my whole life I have never known a work place where employee's are falling over each other to get to the front of the queue for voluntary redundancy. Only in DQ.
