Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Wow.

As I read through some of these comments and responses, I can understand why some of you were chosen to be laid off. This is a rough patch in your life, but the world (let alone Macy's), doesn't owe you anything. S— it up and move on. Easier said then done, but do it anyway.

Perhaps you’ll be on the next cut and find out via an email! Chill and let folks try to find out some inflow that we can’t get on to “Ask HR” and no answer when you call. My pay is not correct in my email so I’m sure when I finally receive my severance after 60 plus days for termination, it won’t even be correct! I understand the reality we’re living in but this all has been handled So Poorly! I honestly feel like I’ve won my life back with this cut after selling my soul to the company. You’re probably slamming ppl on this forum Because you’re not happy in your career. I’m SHOCKED you even have time to be on here if you’re still employed! You must be hiding in the Stockroom or Executive Office!

Most people here are searching for answers and support, especially when it's hard to get clear answers from place of employment.
And to the poster who brought in politics here, I don't claim either party but it does appear like the Democrats want this virus to go on forever just to use it to their advantage, not that they truly care about the average American.

Please feel free to leave the forum. This is a place for some people to vent, others to grieve. Nobody has any room for self righteous twits. So please take your c-appy attitude somewhere it might be appreciate. Jerez, Louise, get a life.

No one is here crying. People are here searching for answers after the incompetent communication and mixed messaging. Just trying to find answers. This site has been fantastic for comparing my situation to others. Most posters are relieved and say, "Good riddance!"

The O post is why, in a nutshell, getting laid off last year was a huge blessing in disguise. I'm now working at a company that does so much to support its employees. No one at my new company would EVER even consider saying "get over it." (Actually, they wouldn't have too, because there haven't been layoffs.)

To the laid of employees – especially those who gave your heart and sole to the company, I feel your pain. Keep the faith and know that life is much better where you're appreciated and valued. I wish you the best.

Wow is right. Bad things happen. You fall down, wait a minute, get up, brush off and move on.
People are entitled to their opinions, isn’t this the land of tolerance...
this IS a rough patch. No question. We are a nation of survivors, innovators, entrepreneurs! Pick up and fund your place in a career.
Sure there is a time for healthy mourning but it should stop at some point.
Nothing ventured - nothing gained. Go forward and be successful!

JeezeLouise, no one asked for your self-righteous indignation of the situation. One in which you perceive and brush off as just a "Rough Patch", in a time when we are facing an unemployment rate unseen since the great depression. People are just voicing their experiences and seeking answers in regard to a company that time and time again has proven it's disingenuous practices.
Why don't you run off to your Trump rally now and mind your business?
