Thread regarding Emerson Electric Co. layoffs

No more major layoffs at RAS but turmoil

Heard that the leader of RAS will be fired soon. The feedback on this site has reached the powers to be in St Louis. Pray that they will put someone with leadership skills, vision and courage versus Pedro who has no vision, no leadership, no courage and worse of all, no honor or integrity, a manipulator, a person without honor. RAS business is so bad now because of Pedro’s lack of leadership and Zedi is bleeding too, losing money the first year of acquisition. The board needs to hold Emerson executives accountable for acquiring companies that have operating losses the first year after acquisition.

It appears that Emerson is so unethical. The executives are unethical. They abuse their positions and power. PD holds JN to ransom because of JN’s dark secrets. So even if PD did not perform, he will never be fired.

On another note, Emerson shields itself from corrupt practices by using local business partners who bribe customer executives. It is rampant in Asia and Africa. Bribes are being paid in various form through Emerson business partners. Once I was told ‘hear no evil, see no evil’ by my manager ie as long as we are not aware of it, it’s ok. Business partners sign agreement agreeing that they will not bribe. That saves Emerson in case the bribery is exposed, it’s the business partner’s fault.

Is the 'GM Theft Case' convicted chinese guy is still there? He is one of the managers in Sidney, OH. Google 'GM Theft Case' or 'Yu Qin Shanshan Du' and you'll know. Surprising that Emerson employs someone who spent 3 years in Federal Prison for trying to steal Design Data from an US Manufacturer and Sell it to China.

STL making decisions based on what is posted anonymously? Highly improbable. No one cares about JN and KBB. Leave those old people alone. Worry about the current affairs going on.

Whether it is PD or JN or KBB or DF, none has integrity. DF earned 20M+ a year despite sales dropping from 24B+ in 2014 to 16B+ in 2020. Meanwhile thousands of hardworking employees were fired. Why are these executives not fired for poor leadership but ordinary employees have to suffer for their incompetence?

INTEGRITY is number 1 in emerson core values but every employee has INTEGRITY except the executives.

Wait, you are not suggesting that DF has some dark secrets and held to ransom by JN & KBB like PD is holding JN to ransom because he facilitated JN & KBB rendezvous???? Using corporate planes for spouses and personal trips??? I guess INTEGRITY does not exists in their vocabulary.

JN and KBB has been known for years. The better question is what do they have on Farr?

It’s been going on for years, started when she was married, It’s pretty much public knowledge. Corp planes have been used by execs and spouses, even an HR exec took personal trip on exec plane.

I am mad like hell too. JN and KBB rendezvous on company expense, probably using company’s jet too. Executives paid handsomely, rewarded with big bonuses and stocks. Exclusive country club memberships. New vehicles every three years. Meanwhile, hardworking employees were fired to save costs. One executive could save 20 employees jobs. Emerson claimed to care for its employees. Really? They take care of their own kind, the untouchable executives. Even violating business code of conduct is acceptable for executives but ordinary employees would be dismissed immediately. They walked us out of the office like we are criminals. Being fired is bad enough, they ensure we suffer the humiliation of being walked out the door.

Okay wait....JN & KBB rendezvous? Seriously? I don’t buy it. She could do way better than that...

How about Aaron? Shouldn’t he go too? He was involved in Zedi acquisition which turned into a disaster. His bulls**t digital transformation story that he presented many times. RAS has digital transformation offerings? Give me a break.RAS sells outdated hardware, period. Like they say, you cannot fool all the people all the time.

I’ll believe it when I see it. If he gets fired they should take Brian LaMothe as well. He is just as responsible for all the boneheaded acquisitions. And he is directly responsible for the technology leadership or lack thereof.

At this point I don’t have any faith in this business. Wouldn’t be surprised if Emerson sells it to another company.

It makes me mad that a group president and SVP can violate business conduct and get away with it while any other lower level employees would have been fired immediately.

rendezvous is common knowledge. execs looked the other way with this and other behavior - at the highest levels. good luck

Don’t celebrate yet, peep. Many of us are aware of the story that Pedro has been sharing over the years, that Jim won’t dare do anything to him because he knows Jim’s dark secrets. When PD was country manager in Brazil, Jim and his lovebird, KBB, another senior Emerson executive were in Brazil on the pretext of company business trip but were having a rendezvous instead. It is against Emerson business conduct. PD has full knowledge and facilitated their rendezvous. I think the rumor of his firing is likely false. Sorry to disappoint.

Executors!! LOL!! You are right. RAS RTUs and Flow computers are 1990s technology and it took more than 10 years to develop replacement and it was too little too late. Emerson did not fire the leader responsible for the disaster but fired hardworking dedicated employees like me. It’s about time they fire Pedro. He was responsible and should be held accountable. I hope they fire him. Karma is a b–ch. He fired so many of us dedicated employees but the problem is HIM.

"Pray that they will put someone with leadership skills, vision and courage "
Impossible to find such a manager in the whole emerson organization.
Emerson grows executors, not managers

As a Zedi employee, this will be good for Zedi too. Zedi was doing very well until Emerson takeover. Then it is downhill all the way. Pedro lacks ideas and he is clearly and administrator and process follower. After the recent cuts in Zedi, it is even harder for Zedi to grow. The operating loss is because of Pedro’s leadership or lack of.

Here’s a list of what they have pulled down.

  1. Anything referencing going to the press
  2. Anything referencing the HIPOTs that left voluntarily back in Nov/Dec
  3. Anything that references an employee they let go, especially under questionable terms
  4. Anything referencing how they aren’t dealing with COVID

For sure Emerson follows here. Anything that’s bad press for them and remotely violates the terms of this site, they have pulled.
