My performance reviews and salary increases were strong every year at CareFirst...
If roles are priced low than only younger workers chasing a title will take them - it prices out older workers with experience who might actually do the job well. Continued exploitation of workers while those in power keep their paychecks solid.
My VP told me these new Business Relationship Director and Manager roles are priced so low from HR that no one will want to be in these roles. What are you hearing? I thought the BIO team is the strategic role with the business and now they really dont do anything. I guess for some the role may be a great leap forward coming from a program director but for real directors the money will be a reason to leave. More slap in the face. BIO teams appear to not be the place to be if you want more money and to do work that is going to help your career.
What's new is we have this new org in IT and we have all these positions we need to go hire and fill to be able to service the business but we can't. Why you ask? Well there is no money to hire these new roles. Seems like it was spent on the consultants. I work in an area that cannot support the business because there are not enough people. The org change was supposed to distribute resources to the areas that needed them. Some got people and others have empty boxes on org charts and no money in IT to be able to go fill them. So we can't spend money on contractors to help, we can't hire, we have more budget cuts, so not sure exactly this is going to work out. Good luck everyone in your job searches.
