United Airlines is going to layoff 45% of its workforce. GE Aviation will be making less spares. That equals to more layoffs for us.

Roof Top consolidations are needed in GE Aviation.
Interesting when I was an employee giving great ideas on how to save cost and consolidate teams even before Pandemic the leadership team ignored. I gave implementation plan as well to be ignored and lay offed!

GE should have a web site for former employees to tell them where to cut costs that is independent from the specific business unit. Too many middle managers protect their turf and favorite people.

If GE reads these posts make a site to solicit cost savings from former employees that is independent from the leadership of specific business units.

They have. More layoffs coming in the 3rd quarter and/or 4th quarter. Teams are looking into closing and consolidating sites. It doesn't mean it's going to happen, but if the numbers look good, it could very well happen. We have a new leader in Aviation. Turbulence ahead. Fasten your seatbelts.
