Thread regarding ViacomCBS layoffs

Wise strategy or no?

YouTube TV launched eight ViacomCBS channels today: BET, CMT, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, TV Land and VH1. They jacked up the price 30%, making it $65 per month.

Not a wise move. YouTube TV is really hoping sports start back up otherwise people will drop them for more streamlined service that costs less.

I miss the lodge... But also, Hulu live is $10 less a month, has the CBS channels that matter (debatable though as most ViacomCBS channels/nets are bleh), plus the whole Hulu library of original content. Everyone already has Netflix and Amazon Prime. If your smart enough, ample internet is cheap. Nough said.

Bad move but what do you expect from viacom? This is typical

$15 price jump for useless Viacom channels?!?! YouTubeTV will see a mass exodus of subscribers. Cord cutters are looking for the best deals and don’t want to pay the premium of cable. With the recent price hike it puts them on the same or if not more of the monthly costs vs cable.

As far as viacom it’s a good idea. We still haven’t recovered from our ill advised lawsuit against them. As for YouTubes price well that we will have to see. I wouldn’t pay it.
