even if you're a great worker, even if you've never had a complaint filed against you, if your manager doesn't like you you can consider yourself gone. merit plays no role at bose, and everybody who's considering this place for employment should know that. if you're not willing to brownnose, you'll be out the first chance they get.

I agree 100%. I worked for a group in Framingham and never had any 'dings' or complaints on my file for 20 years. Always received good reviews, never even a warning. Then an upper manager who wanted to be left alone to watch sports on his computer in his office moved a supervisor to management and her way of managing was to constantly look for faults. I began getting bad reviews for infractions such as "stored documents in the wrong folder" or "doesn't seem to have a sense of urgency". At age 60, after 22 years I was told my position was eliminated but it didn't bother me as I found a better job for the same salary five minutes from my home which cut out a daily one hour commute. My old boss? She began doing the same thing to a co-worker and he quit to work for another company as did two other people and at the next layoff she lost her position and according to linkedin she is still looking.
Employees don't leave companies, they leave managers.
Absolutely. Repeatedly petty individuals with agendas were given large groups, whereas many women I knew who had amazing interpersonal and leadership skills were rejected for management roles.
If you don't like the president or congressman, you vote him/her out.
If you don't like your manager or he does not like you, you are out.
Hoping the best of new outcomes for you! There is some great advice in a couple of threads below. It seems a toxic relationship that is good riddance for you.
Unfortunately this is true everywhere. You live and die by your manager.
