IMO, the disrespect and distrust by Japanese senior leaders of Americans is not ethical and hurtful
Canon is now reducing pto benefits for employees just another example of how the company is screwing the responsible employees that actually work
Canon has always been a liberal company with a history of treating hard working employees bad, while letting others slide, a product of poor management
What division/location was let go?I was let go a couple of years ago after 25+ years.
Are they offering severance to employees they just let go?
what’s being said here. Some had an automated call to tell them about their status going from furloughed to dumped? That would be awful if true and should be exposed and reported to newsday.
We got a pre-recorded call from someone I could barely understand or hear. About as unprofessional as you can get. I was not surprised at all, as Canon historically treats their hardworking employees like this.
To everyone on the call today, keep your head up and move forward. You deserve to work for a company much better than this!

Several of us were let go today. Our jobs were eliminated as we were told. I guess it was more important to let the directors,?general managers and vps keep their perks or keep us who actually do the real work.
The phone market will continue to k–l the camera because you missed out on that years ago.
