Why I keep getting repeats on these lazy senior guys !! These senior guys are a joke !! They should feel lucky that the union bought them some time !!!!

If I can correct the term lazy , I am not a newbie but have not been here 30 years in same position , I do do business calls and fiber and also was involved in construction, I never applied for osp because of the hours offered which was not suitable for my home life. I do however see many senior techs as well as newer techs sit on a job only because the time given allocates the sit time . Also many will not take a t.c with 30 minutes left of there day because it may keep them out . We all should be able to figure out a signal issue in 15 minutes or less . We may have to return to rerun an outlet but sometimes it looks like it will take longer than you think . I get it it's is becoming same ole same ole newbies want to run through it and make them feel like they know everything . But they also see some people not caring and doing half a– job quick fix and go sit in van or call there buddy bucket guy who they worked with for years instead of just getting it done without waiting vfor bucket . Newbie I hear you I was there . We all should just do what we can for the costumer get our tips even though the price of sh– company does not care . I work like I expect someone who I would hire to do work at my home . Let's help each other out. Peace

Lets set the record straight. I am a senior tech and I've been with this company for 15 years plus. There are repeats because there is no training. The new equipment doesn't f—in work. When you call for help no one answers and when they do they can't help you cause they don't know. The answer is leave the customer move to the next job. I got no problem giving them what they want as long as there is someone that can tell me what to do. They dont give the newbies hard work like fiber and buisness installs and legacy work. All that sh– got put on the seniors now. If you got something to say don't be a b–ch on a forum just say it to the seniors and see what reaction you will get. I can almost guarantee that the person talking sh– has never said a word to a senior like he wrote on this forum. You should ask us what are our issues because when you tell management (when you can find one) nothing ever gets done. Its the blind leading the blind. Jim Dolan should have never sold this company!!

This company does not care about any employees.Do the least amount for them with out getting fired.Contractors will have your job soon.There are no more employees of the month .

No such thing as a lazy tech. This is a physically demanding position. Lazy ppl get desk jobs or live off the system all their lives.

C’mon man, nobody cares anymore. Do you really think anybody is out there trying to do a good job? Those days long are behind us. You don’t need to understand fiber, coax or RF anymore. All you need to do is complete your 8 jobs a day and continue making the company money until they eventually lay off you, me and everyone else and replace us all with contractors. Oh, and don’t forget to dust off your resume because you’re going to need it.

And you guys wonder why nothing gets done, there is no unity, just anger toward each other. The Seniors were once rookies and took their lumps to get here. This is not a knock on non veterans but the younger group just seems to want instant gratification, no lumps to get anywhere and knock anyone out of their way. Seniors should absolutely pull their weight, there is no room in this company for that not to happen but they should earn some respect and if they really aren’t pulling their weight, well then they deserve the ripping and should be called out. Bottom line we need something to happen here, all of us
