To save money martin marietta has let go of most of it experienced employees, this includes most of the batch plant operators. And they cut ties with BASF chemical company and went with a new company that does not fully know how their products work or how much to use. This is got to be one of the most foolish moves for a concrete company as an experienced plant operator is the one who batches the quality concrete with years of experience and the chemicals also have a lot to do with the performance of the product. Way to go Jay Mcclure..he's the guy who came up with this money saving plan.If you need concrete i would go elsewhere as its your reputation if the concrete fails.I know all this first hand as i was one of the concrete plant operators let go after fourteen years with TXI/Martin Marietta
